My name is Kim, I’m 22. I just graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BA in Journalism and Communications. Hoping to go into creative parts of advertising one day.
I have been obsessed with traveling and seeing the world since my first trip to Disney World when I was 4.
My parent have always been very open to me (and my siblings) traveling with or without them. I have been all over the U.S.A, down to mexico, and across the better part of western Europe. My current country count is 19. (I hope to hit 50 before I die…piece of cake I’m almost halfway there)
When I was 15 I traveled for the first time by myself. I participated in People to People and spent the entire month of July traveling around Brazil and tiny parts of Argentina and Paraguay. I’ve traveled with friends, with school, alone and with my family. At 17 I graduated high school and lived as a foreign exchange student in Lille, France for 11 months. It was then that I saw the most of Europe.
Over the years I have learned some tips and tricks (sometimes the hard way) of how to get around, perfect ways to pack, how to deal with loosing your passport in foreign countries and so many more things.
I have collected so many stories and memories that I have wanted to share for a long time, and here it is, the perfect solution. A blog full of a melange of stories, destinations (known and unknown by me) things to see, what to buy, what to eat, and how to do everything else along the way.
I dread the day that I can no longer travel.
Kim, I love your blog! I think u r on to something here. great info! Very practical.
Kim, We miss you here in France! I’m sure you left in the other 18 countries as much fun and sparkling magic you have in your heart as you did here!!
Lucky the 31 which remain!!!! 🙂
